Directions: from Denton take Hwy 47 east to Hwy 49. turn north onto Hwy 49 and go about 1.5 miles to Salen Church Rd. Trun west onto Salem Church Rd and go about 2 miles and cemetery will be on your right before getting to the church.

Row along road is Row #1. Graves in rows recorded from north to south.

Rows 1 - 13 are in the well maintained portion of the cemetery.

14 is partially in the woods.

Rows 15 - 17 are completely in the woods and tree roots or old boxwoods have grown around the grave markers making it impossible to pull them up enough to check for possible inscriptions.

Row 17 is the last distiguisable row in the woods. There are countless graves down through the woods, some with a slate marker but most just a depression in the ground. Local lore says that there were slaves and possibly black members of the church buried in the cemetery so these graves could be their burial location. There does seem to be a gap between Row 17 and the other graves further back in the woods which could indicate some truth to the lore.
