      Directions: From 4 way stop in Mt. Park take south trunk toward Elkin, on SR#1301, for 1.2 miles to a road on LH side named Noah Hayes Road SR#1301. Go onto Noah Hayes Road for 1.0 mi. to 1783 Noah Hayes Rd. Brick house on RH side of road and cemetery is behind house and car garage in hay field. Approx 125 yards from house.

      William (Billy) Granville Walters (b. 09-13-1846, d. 04-07-1923) wife Mildred Olive (Zachary) Hicks Walters (b. 06-07-1842, d. 03-10-1907). Two foot stones one for each marked WGW and MOW..


  1. Walters, Mildred Olive Zachary Hicks   (b. 7 Jun 1842 - d. 10 Mar 1907)
      • Wife of William G. Walters. Married 26 Dec 1866 in Surry Co. Mildred married 1st to Thomas Hicks who died in a Union Army camp in Illinois while serving in a Texas Army unit.. Mildred is the daughter of William Zachary and Virginia Cox. Footstone: M.O.W.
  2. Walters, William Granville "Billy"   (b. 13 Sep 1846 - d. 7 Apr 1923)
      • Husband of Mildred O. Walters. He died in Kent Co. Delaware while at the home of his daughter Bettie W. Sheppard. William is the son of Dickie Walters and Becky Rice, who are said to be buried in this cemetery, but without any markers. His tombstone in June 2007.
