Location - on Johnson Pond Road, Wake County, Below Hilltop-Needmore Rd, about 1/2 mile on the right. The church is located on Hilltop-Needmore, close by.

Directions - south on Hwy 401, turn right (west) on Hilltop-Needmore Rd, cross Lake Wheeler Rd, continue to Johnson Pond Rd, turn left, cemetery on right behind a row of cedar trees.

The cemetery is neat, but many graves are not marked. Of those that are marked it is often a metal tag on a stem that can easily be removed. Most interred are African American.

The cemetery is the original site of New Providence Baptist Church, which was founded in 1860. The original church was demolished when the new church was built in 1967-68 and most records destroyed. There are many unmarked graves.
