      Location - Matthews Township. 425 feet north of drive at 265 Bradford Lane, Siler City. 0.18 mile south of SR-1503, Stagecoach Road, 0.27 mile south of US 64.

      On 23 March 1989, Wade Hadley recorded two grave markers. On 19 September 1991, Will M. Heiser recorded two legible grave markers, two illegible grave markers, and 21 field stones. On 25 Aug 2009, Harold Marsh, Jim and Bev Wiggins, checked data and photographed some stones.

      Legal Description: Parcel 14855 Deed book 964/302 2002; Plat 37-29 and 2002-185. Previous deeds: 465/959, 29 November 1983, from Daniel A. and Blanche G. Everwine; also 465/944; 679/212; 679/215; 413/752; 396/650 (this deed references 11 more).
      Topo Quadrant: Siler City.
      Family owned: Yes.
      Abandoned: Cared for by Harold Marsh and brothers.
      Number of graves: 25.
      Cemetery size: 40' x 60'.
      White: Yes.
      Restricted access: Yes. Private property
      Poorly maintained: No. Well maintained.
      Enclosed: Yes.
      Enclosed explanation: Stone rubble wall broken down to ground level and pushed aside when cemetery was cleaned in 1980s. Stone wall, with much white quartz, delineated two sides of the cemetery which is now enclosed by a sturdy wire fence.
      Markers: Yes.
      Markers with inscriptions: Yes.
      Number of readable markers: 3.
      Last burial: 1854.
      First burial: 1830.
      Markers damaged: Markers were disturbed by livestock but have been set back up. The two large marble markers are set in concrete. Both large marble markers are signed by "Lauder, Fayett." This is stonecutter George Lauder who started a stonecutting business in Fayetteville in 1845.
      Damage from farm animals: Yes.
      Hazards: Previously exposed in open cow pasture. Now fenced.

      • Aged 68 yrs 4 mos 24 days. Wife of William Marsh, Sr. "She was a humble Christian, a devoted wife, a prudent mother." Closeup of inscription.
  3. Marsh, William, Sr.   (b. 26 Jan 1751 - d. 2 Nov 1854)
      • Aged 103 yrs 9 mos 7 days. Husband of Sarah Marsh. "He served his country as a soldier in the Revolutionary War." Closeup of inscription.
