Location - Matthews Township. On east side of SR 2208, South 2nd Avenue, 0.1 mile south of Siler City town limits, in front of Chatham Middle School

One marker was recorded by Wade Hadley on 23 Mar 1989. On 27 Aug 1990, two markers were recorded by Will Heiser with Billy Fitts, Jr. On 11 Feb 1999, the cemetery was visited by Will Heiser and Charlie Thomas. Three field stones were noted in addition to the two legible markers.

Joab Brooks, Jr., was the son Joab Brooks, Sr. (ca. 1712-1775) and Catherine (Dimmaux) Brooks, and grandson of John and Susan Brooks. He married Ruth Terrell Brooks, daughter of Isaac Brooks (ca. 1727-1825) and Ruth (Terrell) Brooks (ca. 1730-1790), and granddaughter of John and Susan Brooks. Joab Brooks, Jr., lived on the plantation of his father, and he and his wife are buried here in the family burial ground by the side of the road their fathers help to build.
