In 1972, W. Harold Broughton recorded 262 grave markers. In May 1997, Audrey Heiser and Judy Herringdine recorded 359 markers, including all but 7 of the records recorded by Broughton and 76 unmarked concrete blocks.

She was born in Chatham County to the late Albert Gough McIver and Claytie Griffin McIver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Clarence W. Webster and her brother, Hoyle McIver. Gladys worked for many years as a secretary for Chatham County Department of Social Services. Gladys is survived by her sons, Clarence Dale Webster and wife, Marie of Pittsboro, Steven Douglas Webster and wife, Resa of Pittsboro, Richard Hoyle Webster and wife, Teri of Pittsboro; one daughter, Sandra Kay Webster Angel of Sanford; five grandchildren, Whitney Ellis, Carrie Howard, Audrie Sa, Austin Webster, Andrew Webster and by two great-grandchildren, Ace Ellis and Vivianna Sa. Arrangements were handled by Bridges Cameron Funeral Home of Sanford, NC. Services were held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
