Wife of Ellis Duron Cribbs. Eloise Cummings Cribbs, age 80, passed away at First Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Moore County. She was born in Harnett County to the late Sam Cummings and Vera McDonald Cummings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis D. Cribbs; five brothers and one sister. Eloise worked for many years at Perry Brothers Tire Service on Wicker Street in Sanford, NC. Surviving relatives include her sons, Ronnie Cribbs and wife, Janel of Sanford and Dwight Cribbs and wife, Susan of Sanford; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Myers and Libby Cummings; three grandchildren, Erin Poe and husband, Michael, Casey and Hayley Cribbs and one great-grandchild, Trey Poe. Arrangements were handled by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford, NC. Services were held at Turner's Chapel Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Darrell Lassiter Gunter, age 75, of Sanford, NC, died at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. He was born in Lee County to Jake Gunter and Alberta "Bert" Lassiter Gunter. His father preceded him in death along with a daughter Stacy Hart and brother Larry Gunter. Darrell graduated from Sanford Central High School and attended Campbell College. He was a Vice President for Sanford Savings and Loan before owning and operating Central Carolina Vending. He was a member of Turners Chapel Church, The Sanford Moose Lodge, The Sanford Elks Lodge and was past-president of the Sanford Jaycees. He is survived by his mother Alberta "Bert" Gunter of Sanford; life-companion Joyce Scheuerlein of Sanford; daughters Stephanie Gunter Bodmer and fianc‚ Bobby Gosnell of Southport, NC, Ginger Gunter Thomas and husband Brad, Marcy Hudzik and husband Stephen all of Sanford; niece Tiffany Gunter of Sanford; grandchildren Sarah, Nicholas, Laurel, Caleb, Dylan, Julie, Trista and great-grandchild Ruby. Arrangements were handled by Bridges Cameron Funeral Home of Sanford, NC. A graveside memorial service was held at Turners Chapel Church cemetery. A Celebration of Life was held following the graveside service at The Elks Lodge in Sanford, NC.
