Surviving is her granddaughter Brittany Gustafson and husband Brian of Bluffton, SC. Great grandchildren Brynli and Broxen Gustafson of Bluffton, SC. Sisters Doris Harrington of Broadway, NC and Alice Fae Pierson Kingsport, TN. Local arrangements were handled by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway. Graveside services were held at Baptist Chapel Baptist Church on Buckhorn Road in Lee County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Nellie H. Weathers and brother J. Stanley Howard. Edward worked for forty plus years with Sanford Produce/JT Davenport before retiring from Coremark. He was also a farmer and enjoyed spending time on his tractor in the fields growing various crops. He was a member of Baptist Chapel Church where he served on the Deacon Board. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Donna S. Howard of the home. Son Tommy Howard and wife Jennifer C. Howard of Sanford, NC. Sister Grace H. Boggs of Sanford, NC and grandsons Nicholas R. Howard and Tanner W. Howard both of Sanford. Great nephew Brian R. Crissman and wife Lindsay J. Crissman of Sanford, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Arrangements were handled by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway. Services were held at Baptist Chapel Church in Broadway with burial in the church cemetery.

Milton Hoyet "Mickey" McNeill, age 78 of Sanford, died at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Harnett County, son of the late Gattis Loften McNeill and Eunice Patterson McNeill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Marshall H. McNeill and Eugene Kelly McNeill and Sister Janet McNeill Fraley. Mickey was retired from the United States Navy after 22 years, serving on Submarines. He was also retired from Pentair and was a member of the Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church. Surviving is his wife, Bobbie Dickens McNeill of the home. Son, Jeff Brafford and wife Beth of Sanford, NC. Sisters Joyce Jones and husband Larry of Broadway, NC, Phyllis Crystal and husband Jeff of Southern Pines, NC and Agnes Cameron and husband Ronald of Broadway. NC. Grandson Will Brafford, his fianc‚e Angela Byam and her Children, Karsyn and Carrington Fundakowski. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Sassy Sue and Murray. Arrangements were by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway, NC. Services were held at Mount Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Broadway, NC and burial with military honors was held at Baptist Chapel Church in Broadway, NC.

Howard and his step-father Martin Howard of Broadway; Father, Bradley Ramsey of Louisiana; Sisters Logan Cuevas and husband Kenneth of Broadway, NC, Kennady Ramsey of Virginia; and Brothers Collin and Bailey Howard of Sanford, NC. Grandparents Lillian Rollins of Broadway, NC, Mike Ramsey of Sanford, NC, Nancy Brown of Louisiana and Clara and Tillman Howard of Sanford, NC. Aunts and Uncles, Juanita and Mike Sheasby of Minnesota, Robert and Lisa Howard of Sanford, NC, Julie Howard of Sanford, NC , Patrick and Denise Ramsey of Sanford, NC and many cousins.
