Husband of Margaret Ida Kelly. Howard C. Kelly 92 of Sanford, NC passed away at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living in Southern Pines, NC. He was born in Lee County to the late Charlie Franklin Kelly and Whitie Howard Kelly. Howard worked at Buttercup Ice Cream Company, then for a heating and air company in Florida for several years. He later was employed by Saco-Lowell, before becoming owner and operator of Kelly Heating and Air for many years. He later worked as a Supervisor for Moen in Sanford and also for COLTS of Lee County. Howard loved his Church, his Church Family and was also dedicated to his own Family. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ida Kelly; five brothers, Gattis Kelly, Otis Kelly, Shelton "Shack" Kelly, Watson P. Kelly, and Thomas Britton Kelly; four sisters, Eunice Johnson, Bertha Thomas, Edna Thomas, and Grace Wicker; He was survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were handled by Miller Boles Funeral Home of Sanford, NC. Service were held at Eastside Pentecostal Church with burial at Shallow Well-Kelly Cemetery.

Wife of William Currie Thomas. Lillian Kelly Thomas, age 84, of Sanford, NC, went home to meet her Savior on April 23, 2018. She was born in Lee County to the late Gattis Franklin Kelly and Ethel Rogers Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Currie Thomas. Lillian was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Shallow Well Church and a great friend to First Congregational Christian Church. Lillian is survived by her two sons, Robert Thomas and wife, Susan of Sanford, Joe Thomas and wife, Debbie of Sanford; one brother, Gattis Kelly, Jr. and wife, Mary of Sanford; a sister, Judy Rosser and husband, Buddy of Lillington; two grandchildren - Shannon Godfrey and David Thomas, and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home of Sanford, NC. The funeral service was held at Shallow Well Church with burial the Kelly Family Cemetery.
