Location - In the middle of a field behind the antebellum Hood-Anderson farmhouse on Old Battle Bridge Rd. east of its intersection with Eagle Rock Rd. The cemetery is on the north side of Old Battle Bridge Rd. and is visible from the road.

Six unmarked children's graves with rectangular markers are clustered around James A. Hood and Verona E. Hood.
Two child-sized graves marked with rough fieldstones lie near John Calvin Hood.
Two adult-sized graves marked with rough fieldstones lie near Mary L. Ellis and William H. Hood.
One other child of Samuel P. Anderson and Laura Ella Hood, Samuel Tilden Anderson (24 Nov 1877 - 28 Jun 1947), was originally buried in the Hood-Anderson Cemetery along with his first wife, Julia Blanche Richardson (7 Dec. 1881-10 May 1910), and son, Julian Whitley Anderson (18 Feb 1910 - 10 Jul 1910), but all three were moved in the 1980s to Rocky Mount where Tilden's second wife, Cecelia Rowe, was buried.
