      Directions - from Interstate 40 between Chapel Hill, N.C. and Raleigh, N.C., take the Aviation Blvd. exit south. It will take you to Hwy. # 54 in Morrisville. (If you go in the opposite direction on Aviation Blvd. you will find yourself at Raleigh Durham Airport.) Once you arrive at Hwy. # 54 in Morrisville, continue through the intersection and Aviation Blvd. is now the Morrisville-Carpenter Rd. Take the second right turn onto Church Street and up the hill on the left side of the road is Morrisville First Baptist Church and cemetery.

      Morrisville, to the recent arrival, is no more than a collection of well landscaped high tech industrial sites, an outlet mall, motels and apartments. It's location next to "Research Triangle Park", or RTP as it is familiarly known, and proximity to the airport has caused phenomenal growth to this tiny rural community. And yet, when you turn into Church Street you can see the remnants of a gentler time reflected in the architecture of the modest wooden homes built in the 1800's and early 1900's. One can only hope they will be preserved so future generations can view the remnants of tranquil charm that not long ago was the norm in rural North Carolina.

      The cemetery is well kept, with many beautiful monuments.
