Note: Information from Sketches of Old Warrenton, North Carolina_ by Lizzie Wilson Montgomery - Colonel John Goodrum was interred in the church lot of the old Baptist Church and later moved beneath the Presbyterian Church which was built through a bequest of Mrs. Martha Goodrum. At her death, Mrs. Goodrum was buried beneath the building. Slabs of marble bearing their inscriptions were placed on either side of the pulpit.
