      The cemetery is surrounded by a concrete block wall and bordered on the east by the East Section. The West Section is divided into quadrants: A indicating the southwest quadrant; B, the southeast; C, the northeast; and D, the northwest. For inventory purposes, each quadrant is further divided into sections following the same pattern. Thus, the designation "D/2" under Notes indicates that the grave is located in the southeast quarter of section D. The four quadrants are divided east-west by a pathway that is entered by a gate from Yaupon Street and north-south by a pathway with a gateway on Broad Street. There is a veterans' memorial in the southeast corner of quadrant D.

      The East Section is separated from the West Section by a concrete block wall on the west side. There is an entrance to the cemetery from Broad Street. The East Section was originally intended for persons of African-American ethnicity.
